The host, Alex Williams, wanted to plan a party to rescue the holidays for his friends, so, he called Mr. Monn, the well-known New York event planner, to help him. In this article, the planner showed people that how to design great holiday dinner party for the host’s friends at his apartment on a recessionary budget.
The coming holidays, Christmas and Lunar New Year, some people plan that they will not give a present to their friends and some employers decide that they will not held a year-end party for their employees because of sour economy. I think people will not care too much about the presents or the menus, but the feeling. In this greeting season, people should do something to warm or to encourage each other. Send a Christmas card to a friend or have a potluck with colleagues can instead.
Last week, I had a dinner with my friends working with me in the hospital before. We share a lot--work, family, investments, etc. At first, some of us were depressed when we talked about that the market performance went down. After we knew most of us were the loser, we all give a sigh of relief and laugh a long, bitter laugh. At this time, having a dinner together our focus are friends and togetherness.(242 words)
