According to the“10 years later, school still sugar free and proud, over the last 20 years, rate of obesity in children have risen greatly in many countries around the world. The health professionals consider unhealthy eating patterns and lack of physical activity play important roles in determining a kid’s weight. At Georgia, an elementary school removed soda and junk food from the vending machines and cafeterias, and designed some fitness classes for their students for a decade. In the first year, some students’ reading test score were improved and the heavier students’ weights were lost a lot.

I think most of the parents agree with that sugar should be eliminated from school, and at home they will not give junk food for their kids. We have taught our kids eating too much of sugar might be harmful to health, but sometimes we are bothered when a kid get home from school and tell us that he was good at school, so the teacher give him candies. Maybe this condition will also confuse the children that eating candies is nothing inappropriate. In my opinion, the kids can be given candies only in some situation, e.g. to see a doctor, since go to hospital is big stress for them. Giving candies is helpful for the kids to relax; it’s like an adult want to have a cup of wine when not in the mood.

We all know that eating is a habit, when the kids eating without worry is a dangerous habit. We should offer an environment that children could learn how to choose healthy food for themselves. (255 words)
